SRN is "committed to excellence in serving individuals, families, and communities impacted by addiction, mental illness, domestic violence, or homelessness by helping them achieve their greatest potential in recovery. SRN accomplishes this through a comprehensive continuum of care, which respects the inherent goodness, worth, dignity, and diversity of those we serve and employ."

SRN was created as the parent organization to all of the affiliate organizations by High Point Treatment Center in 2002. SRN provides family shelter through the SRN Family Centers, as well as residential services.

Throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, SRN and its affiliates High Point Treatment Center, SEMCOA, and the South Shore Women's Resource Center provide health and human services.
